Lessons
There is always something to learn
Club lessons are held every weekday evening. Whether you want to jump, do dressage, or have only ridden a pony a few times, there is a suitable lesson for everyone.
In consultation with the lesson organizers and instructors, members are assigned to the lesson that best suits them. New members who wish to take lessons must be able to master the three basic gaits (walk, trot, and canter) and have a reasonable degree of control over the reins and brakes. Lessons will consist of a maximum of eight combinations for dressage. For jumping, this will be a maximum of 6 combinations.
If for any reason you are unable to attend a class, you must notify the class coordinators in good time. If there are many cancellations, classes will be combined where possible. If classes are canceled due to club activities, a replacement time will be determined in consultation with the instructor and class schedule. It is not possible to make up for missed classes (cancelled by yourself) or to swap classes.
In the event of a long-term injury or absence of a rider, lessons may, after consultation with the board and instruction regarding 'suitability' or combination in the lesson in question, be taken over by another lesson member of the Nijgraaf. This must be requested in writing.
Riders and/or parents are required to assist with setting up obstacles/courses at the start of jumping lessons and to assist with dismantling and storing obstacle equipment after the last lesson.
